why i stayed (2015)

In, Why I Stayed, I had after 18 years moved from London, England, back to a smaller place in Denmark. But even if I had moved back to my country of origin, after eighteen years away I felt homeless and without roots.

To my mind at the time, a platform of a rug, an island of light, a chair coated with a sheepskin, a muddled radio sounds and a homemade newspaper laid out as a loveletter, created a safe haven when the mind uncanningly stretched itself into the abstraction of space, as seen by the three abstract sculptures.
